Today, our Chapter has a highly motivated membership and an active leadership committed to living up to its award winning history. We have won numerous awards in recent years, including being named Best of the Best of all YPO, Gold Standard, Best Education Year, and more. Some of our former chairs, such as Andre Lynch and Nelson Carbonell, have gone on to be active on the YPOI Regional and International boards. Others have taken leadership roles in WPO after receiving their rocking chairs. More importantly perhaps, so many former members have continued relationships that began in YPO throughout their lives.
The relationships established in this chapter last a lifetime. Almost everyone interviewed for a chapter history article shared stories of friendship and appreciation for YPO, calling it one of the best things they had done in their lives. With the support of the Chapter, members have evolved from struggling entrepreneurs to extremely successful businesspeople, starting new businesses again. Non-owner CEOs have become owners and members have taken companies public, all the while being driven and encouraged by their peers. And now, we look forward to the next 55 years.
